    Arrival and Dismissal Information

    • Buses begin dropping off at 7am and car line starts at 7:10.
    • Dismissal car line starts at 2:40 in the back and 2:52 in the front.
    • The tardy bell rings at 7:40. If your child arrives after that time, you will need to park and walk him or her to the office to check in.
    • Kindergarten and 4th grade will drop off and pick up in the front of the school on Mitchell St. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades will pick up and drop off on Peachtree St. at the back of the school.  If you have more than one child at HES, ALL siblings will go to the youngest child's homeroom teacher at dismissal and will go to the dismissal location for the youngest child’s grade level.
    • If you have a dismissal change you will need to call the office by 1pm. If we do not receive a note or a phone call, your child will go home their usual way.

    Snack

    • Snacks are available to purchase each day if you choose.
    • All food items (chips, fruit roll ups, cookies, etc.) are $1 each.
    • All drinks (juice and bottled water) are $1 each.
    • Snack accounts and lunch accounts are different. You can not spend money out of the snack account for lunch and visa versa. If your child will purchase snack instead of bringing them from home, please send cash or a check to school with your child.
    • Ice cream is sold every Wednesday for $1.50. Snack account money and lunch money CAN NOT be used for ice cream.

    Sending in Money

    • All money sent to school needs to be in an envelope or bag clearly labeled with your child's name and what the money is for.
    • If you have multiple children at HES you will need to send money for each individual child, not as a lump sum. For example, you need to send in snack money for two children, child 1 needs to have a check and child 2 needs to have a check.
    • All checks must have a driver's license number, DOB, and phone number on them.

    Extended Day Program

    • We do offer an extended day program (EDP) for Kindergarten-5th grade.
    • Students will eat snack and do various activities depending on the weather.
    • EDP is open until 5:30pm.
    • Please call the office for more information.

    • We have various spirit days throughout the year. Your child is welcome to dress up on those days.
    • Items will be sold for $1 each to go along with the theme of the spirit day.
