• Dear AES Parents/Guardians,

We welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! We are super excited to have this opportunity to work with you and your children in their education…Learning Today and Leading Tomorrow! We also want to work together to make Abbeville Elementary the very best that it can be! This school year…

    1)      We have increased our library with over 400 new books.

    2)      We have purchased STEM activities from LEGO Education (WeDo & WeDo 2.0) which makes science, engineering, mathematics, and coding come to life. I know the children are going to love this!!!

    3)      We are planning enrichment days for students to sign up for various classes. They will choose classes such as art, music, cooking, gardening, computer class, sport fundamentals and sewing. In addition to some afterschool clubs (Book, Robotics) for select grade levels.

    4)      We have been granted licenses for STRIDE Academy, an adaptive technology program that is motivating and educational. This educational software can be utilized during school and at home for those that have compatible devices.

    5)      We will have a weather station on our campus that sends information to the Western Regional Climatology Center in Colorado. Our sixth grade students will read the rain gauge every day and input data into a computer program. The weather center in Tallahassee gets their information from the center in Colorado.

We have an outstanding staff who loves and cares for children. We will dedicate ourselves to work hard every day, and will do our very best to ensure that all students have an opportunity to think, learn and grow! We invite you to become involved with us here at Abbeville Elementary School and want you to become part of Team AES! We sincerely believe that educating students is a team effort. Together we can make a positive difference in our students’ lives!
